PLANET is very keen to expand its national and international network of contacts, not only within the nuclear industry but more widely. For example, we are interested to connect with more organisations interested in fusion technology and medical isotope production. 

Beyond co-funding PhD studentships within our programme, we are particularly interested to find partners offering short placements for PhD students within their organisation.  It would be beneficial for placements to be in areas unrelated to the PhD student’s research project in order to broaden their expertise and interests. For that reason, we would particularly like to connect with organisations involved in quantum technology, AI and Data Science.
